Jim Haviland plays Friday 11/28

Jim Haviland (aka your author, dear reader) spent the 90’s attempting to get famous in the land of Grunge (Seattle) - feeling a bit out of place writing less-than-grungy music for his band, buddha loves jesus - music that’s a bit more comfortable in the warm glow of a place like Vine and Bean. Jim will plow through the best of the Jim Haviland song book, including a few new ones and a few cherished nuggets and sing-alongs.

Come, bring the family, post Thanksgiving delights will abound.

Amy and crew were perennial favorites at Cafe Limbo and return to bring us their country music on the edge of blue-grass. Firmly planted in traditional American roots music, the music comes down from the mountain, rolls through the country, takes a little western swing and ends up with a whole lot of fun and good times.

I first saw alan playing under a tent during a light rain at the Tremont Farmer’s Market. I was spellbound. He has a smooth, memorable voice that reminds me of John Lennon…and the songs to back that up. He’ll be presenting material from his new record, “Quietly.” Don’t miss this if you can avoid it.
